The Wind Power Generating Sets can capture the power of the wind with an extreme extend. And, its heavy cabin must rotate with a 360-degree angle according to the current wind direction. Meanwhile, its blade must adjust its angle at the same time. However, the above-mentioned process will lead to a technical puzzle, namely, with continuous rotating of the cabin, its strong current generated by the motor and related order of its control system should be transmitted to regular tower and the ground. The Slip Ring acts as the connection between rotating cabin and static tower. Its core roles reflect two main aspects, namely, "two-way transmission" for the power and the information. Firstly, the slip ring will be responsible for its stable large current transmission from its rotating end to static end for the purpose of smooth connection into the electric net. Secondly, as its "information expressway " of the important system of the motor, the Slip Ring will transmit related sensor data, such as the speed of the wind, the temperature as well as its vibration, which can accurately transmit related control orders, including the angle of main system and its yaw information.

In order to finish the above-mentioned missions, the design of the Slip Ring structure is extremely advanced. It is composed of related "rotating conductive ring" and "the brush" fixed on the tower. With the spring or pneumatic pressure, the brush can be closely connected on the surface of its high-speed rotating conductive ring, which can establish related electric connection between the static and the dynamic. Owing to high altitude of the motor, it faced with a harsh environment such as extreme hot and cold, salt and spray, the sand and a lasting vibration. So, the Slip Ring should be designed with an extreme reliability, excellent anti-interference capacity and a longer service life as well.

Therefore, the Slip Ring plays an important role for power flow and information flow in the motor. Once breaking down, severe incidents will be happened, such as signal loss, control inefficiency, high-current short circuit or even burn the equipment, causing huge economic losses. In spite of its unimpressive precision component, the Slip Ring is silently operating day by day at high altitude, ensuring green power transformation with a safety and a high efficiency.
